Shyam Oberoi

Chief Digital Officer, Royal Ontario Museum (ROM)

Shyam Oberoi is the Chief Digital Officer for the Royal Ontario Museum where he oversees the Museum’s digital and technology strategy.  Prior to that, he was the Director of Technology and Digital Media at the Dallas Museum of Art, where he led the Museum’s digital and technical initiatives with responsibility for media creation, gallery interactives, technical services and mobile experiences. Among his successes was a $9 million multi-year project to digitize the Museum’s entire collection and publish it online. Previously, Shyam spent nearly a decade at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, where he was responsible for the Museum’s collection information services, digital asset management and related metadata and multimedia initiatives.  He is frequent presenter at museum and technology conferences including AAM, SXSW, Museum Computer Network (MCN), and has a B.A. in Computer Science from Manhattan College and an M.A. in English from New York University.

Kelly Hardy

Manager, Brand & Digital Resources for YMCA Canada

For over 15 years, Kelly has worked at the YMCA, one of Canada's oldest and largest charities. As Manager, Brand & Digital Resources for YMCA Canada, she manages the YMCA's brand resource centre and intranet site as well as ymca.ca. She provides subject matter expertise on digital strategy and brand compliance and is the community manager for the YMCA's Marketing & Communications Community of Practice.  

Prior to her role with YMCA Canada, Kelly held several positions at the YMCA of Greater Toronto, including program quality, volunteer development and front-line work in youth employment.

She graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration and recently completed her Digital Marketing Management Certificate through the University of Toronto's School of Continuing Studies. 
In her spare time, Kelly enjoys spending time with her family, playing fastball, making gingerbread CFL stadiums and collecting toothbrushes.
